Explore the
Indian River Lagoon
Fun for the Entire Family

Summer 2001

The Indian River Lagoon is one of Florida’s unique natural resources that is home to over 4,000 different plants and animals. The diversity of life in the Lagoon is currently being threatened by Florida’s growing population. The preservation of the Lagoon depends upon the education of future generations.
&nbspThe Florida Oceanographic Society (F.O.S.) will be offering a Saturday morning educational adventure for elementary and middle school students and their parent(s). Together with F.O.S. staff, you can participate in “hands on” activities to learn about the Lagoon and how to protect it. Each session will be held at the Florida Oceanographic Society Coastal Science Center on Hutchinson Island in Stuart. All participants should be prepared to get WET.
